02/08/10 - Croatia, Dubrovnik to Montenegro, Kotor to Buda to Croatia, Dubrovnik
I took a day trip down to Montenegro as people had recommended seeing Kotor. It is another old town this time situated on the Kotor bay. The bay itself is three bays enclosed by mountains, it is quite spectacular. The old town is a scaled down version of Dubrovnik. I have included a photo of the bays and also a photo of my lunch in Budva. Budva is a seaside town on Montenegro that has a population of 17,000 outside of summer which rises to 197,000 during summer, the majority of the additional people are Russian holiday makers. By the way, the lunch which looks like fried rice made in the Gulf of Mexico is actually the famous black risotto (seafood risotto with rice soaked in squid ink) which tastes much better than it looks.
