11/11/2010 - Tanazania, Meserani to Serengeti

A long day where we headed to the Serengeti. It was a bit disappointing, in that we left at 8am and only got into the park at 4:30pm and then started the game drive proper at 5:30pm to finish by 7pm when it got dark and was time to get to camp (in the serengeti) with resident buffalo and hyena, however, the game drive was excellent nonetheless.

The photos are of a kite, maribou stork, oldupai gorge (the place where they found the first evidence of homo sapien) and a lion on the hunt.
