28/04/2011 - Peru, Lima to Piura

Flights into Ecuador were horrible expensive and the super long bus was just horrible, so we chose to fly as far north as we could after which we would bus it.  This meant Piura.  We were two of only 5 Gringo's on the whole plane and when we got to Piura the taxi drivers initially thought we wanted to go straight to the beaches 2 hours away and then thought we were crazy for staying in their dangerous town.  Not to worry, we had an awesome, top quality, huge chinese for bugger all and a good nights rest.

The photos are of the art work in our hostel room.  The Mona Lisa rip-off is self explanatory, but the picture with the girl with her boob out holding an upside down bird is a bit harder to interpret.
