Another trip thwarted in Ecuador. We slept in a little to try and get over our land sickness. When we did leave, we were headed to Otavalo to check out the town and the market. We were told that the bus to the bus station (it works) would be 20 minutes and the bus to Otavalo would be 1 1/2 hours. As it turns out, the bus to the bus station was 1 1/2 hours and then the bus to Otavalo would be another 2 hours minimum. So, given it was mid-afternoon and we didn't want to travel back at night or spend 7 hours on a round trip for a market, we went back to town. Then we had the worst value lunch in the history of time to round out our Ecuadorian experience. There was an upside, we went to a Sushi restaurant for dinner, had a blowout and finished up our time very well.
