10/05/2011 - Ecuador, Santiago Island to San Cristobel Island (Galapagos) to Quito

Today was a non-event.  We were supposed to have a morning boat ride for wildlife viewing and then head off to the airport.  This was canned as we had to rescue a stricken boat overnight and tow them to the harbour.  No worries, it's better for everyone to be safe and miss a viewing than not.  In the end, we had a walk on a beach and then flew out.  It has been an amazing week, one not to be forgotten.

The photos are of the stricken boat being towed (to come, it's on Liz's camera), a lava lizard crossing the path, three lava lizards on a rock, a female lava lizard, two sea lion pups and a tiny hermit crab.
