We spent the morning looking for cheap thongs at the market in centro. The afternoon was supposed to be visiting Christo Redento, but when we got there the girls on the ticket booth said it wasn't worth it as it was cloudy and that we should try tomorrow. That was a bit unexpected. I then asked if the cloud might clear today, she said most likely not and then heard on the radio that there was a thunderstorm up on the mountain. Thwarted. So we went for a drink in Lapa instead.
